JD's Story
We thought my son started training early because he was copying his slightly older sister's behavior. He was very independent and would want to go into the bathroom by himself. But he would go in, declare he was done and we would follow him in to insure he washed his hands and flushed. For weeks, we would humor him and say "good job" but there was never anything in the toilet and he was still pooping in his diaper although the he was definitely peeing less. Finally we figured out he had been peeing in the bathtub as the edge was lower than the toilet.
